The sports bra is of utmost importance to maintaining your body's shape. Without it, you can cause damages to the breast. Such damage, through shock and strain, leave lasting effects. It is remarkable to note, however, that about 40% of women do not wear sports bra while they exercise.
Of these women surveyed, most of them believed that their normal bras were supportive enough to exercise in. They didn’t realise that they were jogging right into sagging breasts, temporary pain, and discomfort. Most of these women were unaware of the effects exercising had on their breasts.
Without a sports bra, breasts move in an uncontrolled movement that strains the tissues and ligaments holding them in place. Specifically, the outer skin and cooper's ligaments are greatly stressed during exercise. This eventually results in chafing and sagging breasts. Unfortunately, there is no natural way to reverse the sagging. Even in slow exercises, a build up of sweat can occur and cause chafing.
Like other forms of sports wear, it is recommended that women adopt the sports bra to protect their body. The most common reason given for not wearing a sports bra is that it is thought to be unattractive or ugly. However, men surveyed actually prefer women to wear a sports bra when exercising. Not only that, but I believe it's better to look unattractive while wearing a sports bra than to damage your body and look unattractive without one.
