The sports bra is of utmost importance to maintaining your body's shape. Without it, you can cause damages to the breast. Such damage, through shock and strain, leave lasting effects. It is remarkable to note, however, that about 40% of women do not wear sports bra while they exercise.

Of these women surveyed, most of them believed that their normal bras were supportive enough to exercise in. They didn’t realise that they were jogging right into sagging breasts, temporary pain, and discomfort. Most of these women were unaware of the effects exercising had on their breasts.

Without a sports bra, breasts move in an uncontrolled movement that strains the tissues and ligaments holding them in place. Specifically, the outer skin and cooper's ligaments are greatly stressed during exercise. This eventually results in chafing and sagging breasts. Unfortunately, there is no natural way to reverse the sagging. Even in slow exercises, a build up of sweat can occur and cause chafing.

Like other forms of sports wear, it is recommended that women adopt the sports bra to protect their body. The most common reason given for not wearing a sports bra is that it is thought to be unattractive or ugly. However, men surveyed actually prefer women to wear a sports bra when exercising. Not only that, but I believe it's better to look unattractive while wearing a sports bra than to damage your body and look unattractive without one.

Digestion can be used to your advantage to obtain fitness. Digestion, like many other bodily processes, costs calories to enact. In short, when you eat an apple, not all of the calories make it to your bloodstream because some are consumed as digestion occurs (not particularly from the food being digested). What this means is that food that takes longer to digest has many benefits.

In order to take advantage of this, you need to know what food to eat or when to eat it. For example, fruits like a banana slowly convert their starch (a long-term energy storage; carb) into fruit sugars (levulose; still a carb, but more readily absorbable). Since fruit sugar is easily digested and absorbed by the body, it provides quick energy that will also be stored quicker by the body if unused. Starch, on the other hand, is changed into sugar before absorption, changed back again to starch for the liver and muscles, and finally changed back to sugar for use by the muscles. Each step in this process burns calories. This is similar to another process I previously explained about your metabolism making its own fat.

In short, it is better to consume starchy (such as less ripe fruits) than sugary foods (such as ripe or very ripe fruits) when you are not going to be active afterwards.

If you're interested in fitness at work, chances are you have a non-physically taxing job and would like to lose some weight to become more fit. However, the essence of work is that you're busy doing something besides exercising. About 45% of people gain weight at a new job that reduces or limits their physical activity. Since the technology boom, there has been an anti-boom in overall fitness.

Sometimes it's not possible to find time for fitness, especially if you spend long hours at work. But even if you have a sedentary job, there can still be some ways to include fitness and nutrition in your day. It may not be easy, but it's worth it. Practicing fitness at work will save you time and money at the gym. As I write, I will update this page with articles that specifically address fitness at work.
